On the journey down his daydream road, he has several interesting adventures. First, William meets a wooden bee that needs a little help. Then along comes a feisty fantail bird named Flit, who speaks with a Scottish accent. His next encounter is with his grandmother, who died years before William was born. He also comes upon a purple cat that spouts poetry by William Wordsworth. Luminescent dragonflies lead the way to a kindly fellow named McGregor, who enjoys playing the bagpipes. Through a rainbow tunnel, William searches for his way back to the picnic from his daydream world. And it all began with A Bee?s Kiss.
